Spring Balti Lamb or Lamb Rogan Josh with a Roti recipe

Spring lamb is plentiful and so are spring vegetables. Mix them and cook them with 'Birmingham Balti' or 'Rogan Josh'.  The idea is to cook the above dish in a wok fry method whereby it'll be dry and can be enjoyed with Naan or Roti.

By the way, the following is the recipe for Roti.

You will require:

  • 1 Cup Wholemeal Flour (Atta) 
  • 1 Tsp Vegetable Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp water

Method:

Mix the ingredients together and knead to make a soft dough. 

Leave the dough to rest in a cool for 15 minutes.

Make equal portions (meat ball size) and roll them in flat in a round shape. Dust with atta so rolling pin doesn't stick to the roti.

The approximate thickness of the rolled out roti should be approximately that of a papad or a soft tortilla.

Bake on stove on medium head on a flat griddle or pan until cooked on both sides.
